Today marks 18 weeks of Baby D! I started the day off right by weighing myself. Gained a whole pound this week! Total weight gain: 4 pounds. To me, 4 pounds doesn't sound like a lot (my weight has fluctuated before), but this 4 pounds looks and feels different. Yesterday, I had someone ask me if I was pregnant. So, clearly I'm showing. It was a coworker, which means I am going to need to let my teammates know... Argh. But, at least one person knows now, so the ice has been broken!
Baby D is now 5.5 inches long and weighs approximately 7 ounces! This is the size of a bell pepper. Baby D is now distinctively a boy or a girl! We have an ultrasound in 3 weeks, which would tell us (if we wanted to know). We are waiting though! The way I look at it, there's really no difference (except physical) in a boy or a girl for the first 10 years of their life anyway, so what's the rush?
I'm still feeling just fine! Supposedly I will feel baby movements in the very near future. I feel lots of things inside there, but I can't discern what exactly they are at this point... Baby movements, digestion... Who knows.
That's all on Baby D this week!
